January's career began 10 years ago with MAC Cosmetics. She attributes a great deal of her training to her experience behind the counter, which gave her a better understanding of color, placement, and everyday beauty. Within a short time, she became a trainer for the company and was able to share her experience with MAC artists in metro Atlanta and surrounding cities.
Dedication and hard work led to her attending the International School of Skin and Nailcare to receive licensure in esthetic's. "Beautiful makeup begins with beautiful skin." January firmly believes that superior skin care knowledge makes for a well rounded and marketable makeup artist.
Hard work has truly paid off for this single mom. From Miami Fashion Week to beauty seminars for flight attendants at delta Airlines, January's work history is quite impressive. her client list includes Grammy Award Winning artist Alicia Keys, Missy Elliott, and popular neo-soul artist Floetry.
